Bowmanville, ON — After securing a P10 finish at Watkins Glen, Unitronic JDC-Miller Motorsports continues to build momentum in the 2025 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge. The result marks the team’s third top-10 finish of the season as they get more and more comfortable with the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport in the highly competitive GS class. Round 6 of the season brings the team north of the border to the Canadian Tire Motorsports Park.
Making Headway After Watkins Glen
After securing a P10 finish at Watkins Glen, Unitronic JDC-Miller Motorsports continues to push on with their 2025 racing campaign. The result marks the team’s third top-10 finish of the season as they get more and more comfortable with the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport in the highly competitive GS class.
The Glen’s fast, flowing nature served as another valuable proving ground for the team’s development with the platform. With every race weekend, drivers and engineers alike are unlocking more performance and learning how to maximize the car’s capabilities in varied conditions and race scenarios.
Home Track for Unitronic
Now, all eyes are on Round 6 at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park — a track that holds special significance for the team. As Unitronic’s home event, CTMP (formerly Mosport) brings a familiar atmosphere and extra motivation. Having previously tasted success here in TCR competition, the team is eager to put on another strong showing in front of the home-crowd.
Driver Insights from Mikey Taylor and Chris Miller
"We love Canada! Really looking forward to Unitronic’s home race and a place I used to live for a couple years!" said Mikey Taylor. "Mosport is special for many reasons, the track is a pleasure to drive, pushes the cars limits but it’s also the event I got my first IMSA win with Unitronic and JDC-Miller Motorsports 6 years ago! We’re making progress with our Porsche, and we have a few more setup changes to try to make it go even faster so it will be interesting to see how those work."
"CTMP is always one of the most enjoyable events of the season." said Chris Miller. "Being Unitronic’s home race, it always feels great to have so much support when we’re there. It’s also a track we’ve always been fast at and I’m very excited to see how our #17 Porsche feels on one of the highest-speed circuits on the calendar. It’s been a more challenging season to this point than we hoped but I think we are really due for a breakthrough result. There would be no better race for us to spray some champagne at for the first time this season!"
AM Tuning Canada Joins Again for CTMP Weekend
Unitronic is also proud to once again be joined on-site by AM Tuning Canada, a trusted Unitronic Authorized Dealer based in Mississauga, ON. Serving the European automotive community since 2013, AM Tuning Canada has earned a loyal following as one of the country’s go-to e-commerce retailers for performance parts and tuning solutions. Their presence at CTMP adds even more local flavor to what’s already a special weekend, and the team is excited to welcome them to the paddock once-more for Unitronic’s home event!
Focused on the Road Ahead
With half the season now in the books, the team remains focused on continued development, strategy, and execution. As the learning curve with the new platform starts to level out, Round 6 presents a perfect opportunity to demonstrate progress — and do it in front of friends, family, and fans who have supported the journey from the very beginning.
